The Culmus ProjectI have always been wondering who are the people who
draw letters. Now I know they are mathematicians.

The Culmus project aims at providing the Hebrew-speaking GNU/Linux and Unix community with a basic collection of Hebrew fonts for X Windows.
Presently the collection contains fifteen font families of different styles. My immediate effort will be concentrated at raising my first daughter. Later I will try to add some more fonts.
Added new TrueType font "Shofar" by Yoram Gnat. Complete family with diacritics and cantillation marks. The font is inspired by Koren type, with redesigned letter forms and the height-to-width ratio.
New! Shofar and Taamey Ashkenaz with cantillation marksTwo new fonts in Taamey Culmus collection. Inspired by Koren, ancient codices and Biblia Hebraica Kittel. Designer: Yoram Gnat. |
